trp operon

If only my second MB lecturer is as good as the animation (trp operon overview), then i wouldn't have to resort to these animations (trp operon: attenuation) !

damned...i'm only started with this..there are a hell lot more to go......

ghostly screams

This is the most stupid thing for today. I'm came home early, planning to read up my GT...and got so insanely interrupted by this ghostly screaming from the neighbour downstairs. geez..having a k-session in his bathroom obviously. So you tell me -- his voice chord has been so severely defected that it infected his worm-filled brain or not?

i purposely record this audio just to tell the world how high pitched singing can reach your laptop microphone without the help of any other devices. yes..the singing is that bad and piercing and he has to bath for so long!!

Matta Fair 2008

Was terribly thirsty earlier on and had to quench the thirst with a good cold apple aloe vera..wow, the chewy blocks of aloe vera was sooo good! every sip was like a life saver to my dehydrated cells

So..all this, thanks to what?Matta fair and obviously i'm owing it to pyotravel and i ain't going to be an angel on this one. just wanted to share my tiny experience to readers who are curious if matta fair really is offering that good of a deal to its visitors. (which most of my friends commented that it is not)

anyways, to be neutral , i must say that there are, of course, good and reliable agencies around but definitely not found in the package offered by pyo . I just thought the whole scam was to lure unsuspecting victims on board.

my friend and I have been keen on going out somewhere together and bali seems to be a pretty interesting one with a reasonable price. well, being students, we have to make plans for budget travels and this one was really cheap for 4 days and 3 nights! what's more, we'll have one whole day for free and easy roaming on the island all by ourselves (i'm visualising us riding bicycles going round for some adventures on the island..woo-hooo)

And it all totals up to the tune of RM 800 only!
definitely what we were looking for! so the itinerary goes: D1, we'll get a complimentary city tour and on D2, we'll go temple raiding (Lara Croft style...LOL..nah)..D3 is free and easy while D4 is free till departure time. i'm dreaming of a good balinese spa and massage...hmmmmmm

so, it sounds great as we made comparisons to the other packages and thus, we make a full payment on an instant. there's when the trouble comes.

we asked of the time of arrival and all, only to find out that we will be arriving late on the first day and so, we asked, "then we wouldn't be able to go on for any excursions on the first day?"

the travel assistant (presumably a new one since he isn't sure of how the tour was like and kept ahh-ing here and ehm-ing there) said that we could do our day visits on our 4th day.

hey-- that isn't what we wanted and if we did want to have something like that, we might as well get another more suitable package? Things get frustrating when another lady came over and told us that we can't cancel and all, but could help us to change the arrival date and time.

she spoke like if matter-of-factly that it's all stated under the rules and regulations; telling us that you've signed the agreement and that's why they can't cancel our bookings. she added that the endnote stated very clearly that the tour is complimentary and that if we didn't manage to arrive on time for it, it will be deemed canceled.

then again, who will thought that pyo arranged all flights to arrive at 6ish in the evening? that's like half of the day gone! and it's not like i'm interested in going to the museum or art caft centers (which i thought were all craps when you go on island visiting -- but just bear with it since i'm going with my friend...gotta respect her point of interests too) but it was stated in the itinerary that those were the places included in the tour. thus, the inexperienced assistant told us that the museum is opening till late and so, we could still have our tour as scheduled.

my foot..by the time we reached and get to the hotel, it'll be about 7ish to 8pm...who is he trying to kid?

obviously my friend and i didn't back down just because of some stupid scam-agreement!

to cut the long story short, we managed to cancel the bookings after 30 minutes of waiting. and guess what? while at that, we saw another assistant went to that lady and told her that all of their flights for the bali packages are scheduled to be in the evening.

so, see? what honest agency would offer such package? well, my little two cents here are always check on EVERYTHING before making a confirmation eventhough the assistant fails to mention. heck...me and my friend didn't think of that initially and there we go; a lesson learnt.

besides that, yesterday's sky was really clear and beautiful but geez..my nokia's 1.3mp camera is too slow to catch it (was driving).
there...not a nice shot...ahh.never mind..it's still will be captured in my mind's

all the noise

Was having dinner when the news come on channel..uhm..some evening news...i turned towards the TV when this fella in penang; with a gung ho spirit spitting some racist remarks. ' ___ can defend your own race and so can we' ~ that sort of thingy.

The first thing that crossed my mind was : they win with a majority vote and yet some people are protesting. just because this time, the results are a little shocking and satisfying, it made some certain people embarrassed and dissatisfied. and all they can do is to carry out peaceful protests and urge the so-called people of some status to do a change. a re-election?

ehem...anyways...true...this early protest at Komtar, Penang was deemed peaceful and they didn't physically be violent BUT the words they barked already caused an unrest. so much for asking the new state government to act neutral and all these idiots stepped out and cause a disgrace.

so now what? amplify on the havoc when the havoc was created? sighs...

my read of the hour :
1. Protest at Penang
2. Aliran
3. KS Lim (politicians are not being so high tech -- spreading political views through blogs. well..where's there's a will, there's a way)
4.King being dragged into a muddle of puddle (i think they will even drag down the sun if they are capable to)
5. NEP letter
6. Barack Obama
(like what the heck rite? all of a sudden obama comes into the list. LOL..a glance at his page, it seems like he has taken most of the cyberspace including facebook..etc...anyways...i don't know why when people speak of australia..obama's face just pops up..yea..i know he's running in US but somehow, his face just pops up. LOL..that was what happened when dan said about pauline hanson and don't know why - obama's face came in.
i don't know what he campaigns for and what the number of votes now..and so i go wiki about it and then found his site. but, i'm not going read now...i have one GT tut3 to do...so i'd better read my GT and also the trp operon now. seriously when the lecturer was speaking, i thought her voice cord was severely affected or she's just pitch deaf.

she goes monotonous and suddenly her voice will raise...and then go flat....urgh)

(=.=) wanted something else....

I only wanted to have the biscuits from Him Heong and not from other stores. sighs...i wanted that particular one because it's fresh and so what if the expiry duration is only for a week....i just want that and not others.

haihz. okay..whatever....pray that box of biscuits taste (if not as good) ok.

so, i was actually wanted to start on my GT while waiting for Lis and Dan...then i checked out nuffnang and found that some keywords lead to my blogspot. haha..guess what..it's pudu jail redevelopment. so i went and look it up.

the jail has been there way back beyond..and i always admire the mural painting when i pass by the building. the mural used to be really good and beautiful -- drawn by fellow prisoners. so, it's really bad when they want to demolish it.

it's sad in a way because it makes part of the heritage and it has been so beautiful; contributed so much to the nation and now, when all those skyscrapers were being build and the city revamped, they want to demolish this so -called obsolete building.
can't the town planner do better?? can't they restore it and turn it into another tourist attraction or so?

the other day when i was using the monorail..i caught a glimpse of the interior and it's a waste that i was too slow to snap a pic of it... *fumes*

that aside, another thing that was on my mind is this dik sharlinie
Not that i'm not sympathetic with the girl and her family but then again don't you think the parents were the one who created such consequences? Nurin's case was already a warning to those who wasn't keeping an eye on their children and yet these parents allow their kids to cycle in the neighbourhood with another elder kid who is not even in the secondary school.

you expect a 8years old to watch over a 5years old. Haha...if i'm the abductor, i'd save the hassle and maximize my profits and grab both of them. parents! wake up alright? L.E.A.R.N your lesson!

and referring to the link provided above, when i first heard about the news, i was infuriated. they thought that they are the authorized party and are now being given the rights to invade human privacy. geez...searching from house to house when there could be other more practical steps to do! how many houses can they search? they thought malaysia is such a tiny little island where you could search about 1000 houses and found what you wanted to find.

*ahh chooo*
sorry...allergic to bullshyte.

and i believe, the cases of missing child is not only limited to this one sharlinie. all media are creating such hype over one missing girl...please...how about many others whom the authorized party is not disclosing?!

*frustrated*

Wednesday

Supposedly today i'm going for the 10,000 BC but J ;( has got to take a stroll down penang. i hope he get his things done quickly and buy me the Him Heong biscuits. woow, seriously, that's the only best place in penang to get the ultimate green bean biscuits. LOL!

So here i am again in front on the pc and my ict credit is left with 76...well..tomorrow i'm going to check with them if this credit is auto-reloading or i'll have to wait till the next term. if i do, i tell you, i'm wrecking hell out of their relaxed time sitting behind the counter (especially if i have to pay for the credits)

anyways...i don't see myself as being so interested in politics and all..not even in the history of politics -- let alone to know which MB is who and it's amazing that i ever remember the names of some politicians. even now, i still do not care much less.

however, the recent hypes have got up with my "busy" life. haha..i don't know but every now and then i'd be going to malaysiakini and somehow, glance around. (and multitask in between my journal searching. ms. A is pretty strict and to the point kinda lady and i really hope my report could impress her...and a second ago i don't know what happened to wikipedia..i entered callus induction and benny goodman came out with 100% relevance... *swt*)

my first one started with this

i do agree with most on what was said about drM being an ex-PM, he has already in the past. regardless that LahLah did a bad job in time round, the ex has no rights to interfere anymore. It's just like the country is our star boy here, Msia, and he has got a current gf LahLah. Msia and LahLah have issues of their own and sometimes, we can't say that this new gf is good for Msia. There are still plenty rooms for improvements.

now, another problem has occured too with Msia.. He's got this ex, M. She pestered and asked Msia for a second chance. Even if Msia has rejected and tried to focus on LahLah, M doesn't want to let go and instead, she introduced her gfs (well..at least more chances of her getting in touch and nearer to Msia).

obviously LahLah is very troubled, as in which girl wouldn't be. but it's just too bad because if she retaliated too strongly, Msia will see it as she being too forceful and just maybe, he will took emphathy in M. on the other hand, if LahLah didn't do anything, then Msia will think that she doesn't care and the same result happens, he'll save a portion of his heart for M.

so, sighs. it's really a complex situation.

then after that part, i got interested in knowing if i was too brainwashed when i was a kid till the extend that i'm being bias now that i prefer M more than LahLah.

so i went to google about

then i got to know on his control in mass media and then i thought..yea...maybe my brain has really been washed with clorox. but i couldn't help but to remember that during his time, i heard a lot of people speaking of his good and wise moves. (as to compare to now, i hear more bad than good with LahLah).

anyways..i'd say that M's hegemonic motives as well as exerting stringent control of the media and being a control freak in other areas, have its advantages. i mean, look at his ruling: everything goes to him and we don't have to worry of any third parties sabotaging plans. even corruptions are being brought under control (except the SVellu part) -- and those, made him 3. The Legend and his 4. Legacy continues.

and so will be this blog too 'coz i gotta rush for the lecture..LOL..

p/s: as always, i don't give a damn about all this but don't you think this drama is becoming more exciting than TVB series? hahaa...(especially more so when i was too young to know what is all the past dramas are all about and when i wiki about it for some basic pre-read, it got me thinking..hm..i will read more about it after the exam period)

Simon's Cat

meowwwww

garfield is famous but this doesn't make this cat here any less cute..LOL..meowww

p/s: looking through the secondary (pre-pmr) questionnaires..i felt a surge of familiarity...COZ...all questions are the same like those of my yesteryears! gosh....repetitively the same over and over again..hmmmm

FollowUp on the Polling Result's Heat

Sitting here in Stevens, with the Milo blended (damned, i'm addicted to it recently..as in just any chocolate blended drink...mojo jojo: get infected too!) , i felt pretty blessed even though yesterday left me tired and ..yea..sleepy. i slept during the c&c (so sorry kath but i was partially awake and know what you guys presented -- as a gesture of support ;)p )

SO...i was really happy because today i managed to finish up my report with Lis...LOL; like why not? it was an easy one ;) i mean..it's easy 'coz for once, i understand what the experiment is about..as in like really...really understand.

alright so..now...i don't know but it seems like the after election hypes are getting more interesting..like this one here

1. malaysian bar

i particularly fancy this:
Quote:
"The outcome does not mean that the DAP or the opposition are strong, but they have managed to take advantage of the weaknesses of the BN machinery," said Sivamurgayan.

and this:
Quote:
"I think they probably had not expected to win. That is why that they have made all sorts of promises to the rakyat during their election campaign. We'll see whether they can deliver what they have promised to the people," she said.

haha..it really got me laughing you know. i just find it amusing.

guess everyone now will be watching penang closely and this is the chance for DAP to prove their worth.

2. malaysiakini letter
i like the part of : no more government wastage.

haha..seriously those who has what it takes wouldn't really care about the second-citizenship treatment because as we all know if the government doesn't appreciate our top scholars and gems here, our neighbour country -- singapore is always very willing to take them over under their wings and polish them further.

it's just a sad case for the government here if they still fail to notice these pearls. i mean..really, it's their loss because in the end of the day, people will forgive but not really forget.

anyways..today i had yet another chat with a friend and i realized one thing. everyone has been worried and got anxious our the election because they had terrible time when petrol price and pretty much everything else has a price hike and the stocks didnt have much prospects.

well..i was thinking that i didn't actually bother who took over the parliment or which side wins as long as they don't lead malaysia into the dumpster. like what my lecturer mentioned today, either party wins or loses, her salary maintains -- as so her life too.

what more can i say? i hardly feel the pinch because i have yet to buy a property (i don't even own my car) and have no bills or people to feed. that's why, i don't felt financially pressured or if there's any burden at all.

lucky you could say. i felt so too because poorer people is feeling every single rock and bump. if this is a big Noah's ark, they will be the first to fall into the deep shark-filled ocean when the waves gets PMS.

my friend said that her friend, who is quite gung-ho about the whole election event, said that those who votes blindly or who doesn't care about the election is being very selfish because to them, who are slightly well off or in the well to do middle class, which ever party -- regardless if they did a horrible job, wouldn't cause that deep of a wound to them. BUT, to those of the lower class, a very simple political gesture could cause slash them dead.

couldn't agree less..could i?

anyways~~~

samy vellu is down...down downnnn! woo-hoooo..haha..sometimes his bullshytes got me sneezing.

the Day when the Polling Result is satisfying!

well..i'm not much into politics and all the hypes. i guess you could say that i'm one of the 40% youngsters who thought voting is not my main priority. of course, it is a privilege which must not be wasted.

polling candidates are puzzled as to why are all these people so passive about the voting -- for a better future so-called. a single voice or a small percentage of people could easily swing the country back to its track (yes...since the step up of pak cik Lah lah, just look at the state of our economy and how our country is being run. you know, i know, the rest is history)

i felt passive because:

1. no matter how DAP wins and how hard the opposition tries to challenge, point the flaws and fight, we couldn't deny the fact that the end-result is still very biased and controlled by one party who has the final say.

2. the way things are handled and done as well as how the system was...some people will still resort to accepting bribes BECAUSE : the poor gets poorer and the rich, gets filthy rich even more.
that is one fact to accept that when you are in power with wealth, you will make sure you oppress the lower income groups and make sure they stay where they are -- sadly poor. they reap all the benefits and let the under privileged ones rot in their grave.
corruption will be there because the millionaires want to be billionaires and the billionaires want to be gazillionaires while the poor can only dream of changing their current status.
that's why...both parties resort to -- corruption. (if you want to find a target to blame..you know who to blame.)

3. politicians all around are so fake! they do all the angelic good Samaritan acts and especially so during election period. all these for? more votes.
obviously good politicians exist but one rotten apple spoils the whole barrel. and one good apple can't reverse the rotten apple state.

4. phantom voters, rewards for "right" voting, gerrymandering, buying politicians (so that the contesting ones win uncontested), threats and god knows what else.

5. i'm not registered yet -- even if i do, i'll still vote the opposition. what they have got to say are the facts. i don't like the idea of the government wasting tax payers' money on useless and unworthy projects which will be abandoned in the middle of its progress. all over malaysia, you could find abandoned buildings which are all green with moss.

(not to forget, sending a model up to space just coz he is a part time MODEL and achieved nothing significant but made us the laughing stork on the world stage. talk about embarrassments)

i was told that in klang a fight has broke out and in penang (DAP wins big) a riot is to be expected. see. the thing i don't get is, they just wouldn't lose with dignity.

when the party which they support lose, they just have to be emo and create a havoc rather than to take the lost like a man and reflect on what makes them lost. i was overwhelmed by how much publicity they put up on the media..and i felt reluctant to even read the news because all they are going to say is : we did this and we achieved that, so you should vote us and not them because they are this and that.

see? when you've got the money, you can bad-mouth every single individual. now, ain't that true...

alright, i will stop at 5 points as i just thought of this:

many people is fearing that riots will happen all over the country now that the election result is out. haha...that's what i meant by people who can't control their emotional and put their thoughts to action. they just want to create a mess just because they lost a toy. but malaysia ain't no toy! you don't run it well enough and that's that.

why want to ruin others' peaceful life?

another piece of news i heard is that the people in penang are stocking up on rice and other essentials because they are afraid that emo fellas will run amok on the streets. sighs.

i thought:

1. at least kl will be alright unless the forces and people in charge got their brain shrunk. kl is the major city and most business is focused in kl. if they allow yet another riot happens here and ruin what is left of our economy...then i don't know what to say.

2. penang is also another important tourism location and manufacturing hub...so i assumed that no matter what, they will keep the things there under control

maybe it's not perfect control but at least things wouldn't be as bad. i had a chat with my friend earlier on and she said that it may not be exactly so because even a bus or two of emotionally unstable lunatics will make a messy scene.

i can't disagree with her after the hindraf event. i just hope for the best. i mean..there is nothing more positive to look forward to (even after the Lah Lah steps down), so just to console myself a little, i just look at the bright side that malaysians are becoming more civilised because now, most people are receiving education and we know that fighting among ourselves can't make things better.

(fight more and perhaps singapore will look into things and offer a hand since i think they wouldn't like it if malaysians are fighting and then some start to sneak into their peaceful little island..hoho..then after that some 'tai kor' country is going to come into picture too; to rebuild their reputation)

oh, which was why when i was at starbucks, times today, i saw these bunch of teens who walk with the attitude like if they own the area; i felt so much like giving them a good slap and punch.

if anyone takes bus at the bus stop opposite pudu jail, you'll find a bunch of teens loitering there up to nothing good. they steal phones and harass younger kids for money and such. i'm not sure if the situation is better now or not because it has been 2-3 years since i last took a bus there.

geez...the way they walk and dress up and ride the bikes (like what, 3 bikes aligned adjacent to one another -- they think it's their dad's road that the cars wouldn't knock them down. right, if one has the license to kill ie. me, i'll be the first to run over them) !

alright..now time for links...well i had spent the past one hour reading here and there (pretty interesting you ask me..that's how i lost 1 hour and so neglecting my report...darn...i need MORE time! serious shyte the exam is looming in april and i just have no time to lose!!!!! but heck...these links ARE interesing) :

1. www.kennysia.com
he, da man, with a good combination sense of sarcastic humour (at times) and i particularly like the interview he did with the sarawak's YB as well as this:

According to the 100% accurate kennysia.com Who-To-Vote-This-Election Decision Generator™, I am voting for...

DEMOCRATIC ACTION PARTY!

Who Should You Vote For This Election?

quote:
By constitution, we are a secular state. That is the constitution. It was only Mahathir who is the only PM to say that we are an Islamic state. So far I think we are still a secular state, although we are moving towards Islamization of Malaysia.

i had been admiring mahathir for what he has done for malaysia..but that statement has got me fired up. but sighs..then again..give and take -- as long as the welfare of all ethnics is being taken care of, of course.

2. swissinfo

amazingly how the people are voicing out their frustrations on current coalition party this year..LOL

http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/news/international/Malaysia_votes_but_PM_s_leadership_at_stake.html?siteSect=143&sid=8828130&cKey=1204951943000&ty=ti

3. aljezeera

quoting:
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the Malaysian prime minister, told voters the night before the elections that they could cause instability and chaos if they abandoned BN, implying that racial tensions could flare up.

ya right..on what ground? some people are happy with the results and just too bad when some people are not. so your job is to make sure that the instability is restored regardless of the election outcome. talk about being fair to all. puh-leesh

http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/FE2584F8-A7F9-4CEB-B915-AA9BB32022D6.htm

alright..really have to stop now. i'm darn sleepy and i want to dream of the chocolate cream frap i had today.
one last sentence, regardless of whatever result it is...i am a proud anak Malaysia..eventhough i think some ruling person in charge is an idiot, the ruling system needs a re-vamp, the town planning is sucky and the transportation development is terrible....i'm still glad that i'm not living in some third world country (though we are..but we are better off in many sectors)

adios, cheers

line of the night : be civilised and don't act out of emotional...and...i just loathe mat rempits
