Avril Lavigne's Concert in Malaysia is cancelled

Reason being: the Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Shafie Apdal said that the concert falls during the nation's independence period and was not a suitable time to hold such a concert. (source: theStar)

My verdict/guesses:

  1. He never had a life as a youngster
  2. His life was so sad and continues to be sad because he was never into music (of any kind -- not limited to pop)
  3. He is envious because he is not half as popular as a young adult
  4. He was confined as a child and wasn't released until Y2K and the moment he came in contact with other Homo Sapiens, he was down with the Y2K bug and got to be confined again in the hospital until they relieved him into the society but the damage done was too serious for him to think straight
  5. He was drunk when he made the statement
  6. He was bias and continues to be bias
  7. He never wear T-shirt and jeans and thought Ms. Lavigne to be shocking to Malaysians
  8. He has never taken Commerce subjects and hence, do not know what income that can be earned for the already-in-a-sorry-state country (I stand corrected. He might be too good in finance till he can foresee, what good income the whole concert might bring to a certain organization)
Oh yes, let's forgive him for his retarded-ness. (Not)

My Most Recent Updates

Yesterday: The match was a ... uhm ... okay...not to say a good one because I don't think Lee was in his best performance but of course, it's good nonetheless. At the very least, Malaysia has got her first Silver in Olympics 2008! How much more can we ask for? (Li Dan is both experienced and skillful obviously but hey, Lee made it to the Top 3...in fact, the first runner up!)

Hehe...after this, you'll be seeing parents sending their kids for badminton training.

---

Today: Okay, this gonna be an update after such my long series of MIA ... which seriously, it's not what I intended to do BUT I just am not in the mode. Well, it is lame to always say that I'm being bogged down by assignments and all...because come to think of it...yes, there were some Uni-stuff to do...but in fact, it seems like not too much. So, I really do not know why I felt to tied up with all of it.

I very much wanted to join old friends for jazz + dinner, go to movies and all but when I start looking at my tuition stuff, assignments, upcoming tests and being the family's official chauffeur...sighs, I guess I just do have the time ;) Perhaps I should put it this way, I have yet to come up with a good way in organizing my time and balance it up with REVISIONS.

Alright. Call me a nerd who is nerdy and yet not bright. Ehem.
(I wanted to go and watch the Fireworks competition....but....finals is due in September....sighs...I supposed I definitely needed the time for final preparation)

On the bright side, I've finally got my scope for the Final Year Project- which is a very exciting thing! But...hmm...funnily, I felt WHOA and YESH but yet...the enthusiasm is not found...y e t.
Argh...I'm stressed for nothing.
And my thoughts are in a mess because of all these! Things are cramping in my mind and I wanted to sort them out like how I sort out my e-files and folders......

ARGHHHHHH....

You Made Us Proud

Regardless of a gold or silver, one thing for sure, Malaysians are proud of Lee Chong Wei

Taken from Beijing2008.cn

(BEIJING, August 17) -- Day nine of the Olympic Badminton tournament belongs to Men's Singles World No. 1 Lin Dan of China and World No. 2 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, as they will compete for the coveted gold medal on August 17.

"Super Dan" Lin has collected two world titles and 22 World Grand Prix titles prior to the Beijing Games. He had an early exit in the first round of the Athens Games and seeks redemption in Beijing. Lin fought all the way to the finals without dropping a single game.

World No. 2 Lee Chong Wei, Malaysia's best shot at claiming the country's first Olympic gold, is expected to give Lin a run for his money.

The dream final that badminton fans won't want to miss will take place on August 17, at the Beijing University of Technology.

On the same day, the Mixed Doubles gold medal match will be fought out between World No. 1 Liliyana Natsir and Nova Widianto of Indonesia and unseeded Lee Hyo-jung and Lee Yong-dae of the Republic of Korea.

Battling it out for Mixed Doubles bronze are Indonesia's third seeds Flandy Limpele and Vita Marissa and China's fourth seeds He Hanbin and Yu Yang.

Miss Malaysia Universe 2007??

Was reading Kenny Sia's Blog and well...Both girls are Miss Malaysia Universe...the one on the left was the 2007 champ while the on on the right is the 2008...I'm just glad that the standard is increasing. I mean...uhm...the girl on the left is a MMU? Hah...the 2008 one is more like it. Slimmer figure and sharper feature compared to the other one....who is...haha...I do not know about her IQ/EQ but...in terms of beauty...her name should just be strike-out.
